Know Your Nodes
CROCUS has built a network of AI-enabled sensors throughout the city of Chicago and the surrounding region. This Micronet is made up of a variety of instruments that collect data on atmospheric physics and earth system extremes. By understanding these complex urban environments, researchers can offer common sense solutions to energy resilience and energy security.
These videos provide information on the instruments that make up the Micronet nodes. The videos describe what the instruments are, what they measure, and how they work. They also give viewers examples of each instrument’s data outputs and provide tips on how to read that data.
