On Tuesday, August 15, 2023, CROCUS partners came together for the first “All Hands CROCUS Committee” meeting. The meeting was an opportunity to reflect on goals achieved during the first year, as well as look ahead to year two of the project.

The all-day session kicked off by welcoming guest speaker Jared Policicchio, Deputy Chief Sustainability Officer, for the City of Chicago. This was followed by dynamic presentations, feedback sessions, collaboration meetings between thematic partners, training sessions and a video of student internship reflections. CROCUS members also planned ahead for the upcoming Urban Integrated Field Lab (UIFL) PI Meeting, which will take place in Washington, D.C. next month.

The CROCUS All Hands Meeting on August 15, 2023, at Argonne National Laboratory marked the first year of CROCUS’s work in understanding the impacts of climate change in the Chicago region. CROCUS is an Urban Integrated Field Laboratory led by the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Argonne National Laboratory in partnership with academic and community organizations and civic and industry champions.
